The bull is at the heart of corrida, and an essential part of what has drawn Stanev to this world. He has always admired these animals for their strength, character and extraordinary physical presence.

The Spanish toro de lidia comes from old native bloodlines, bred over generations in specialised ganaderías. Their lives begin far from the arena, raised extensively on the land and closely followed by the breeders who preserve each lineage.

In the arena, the bull is the matador’s counterpart, commanding its own respect. On rare occasions, an exceptional bull can be granted an indulto and return alive to the ganadería, often as a breeding bull. For Stanev, this respect for the animal has always been inseparable from his fascination with corrida.
