The Nude series reflects a way of working shaped through years of collaboration with international publications such as Esquire, Playboy, Maxim, FHM and Dali Magazine, among others. Across more than 150 covers, Stanev refined a precise approach to photographing the body — one grounded in clarity, discipline and an unforced sense of presence. In this series, the nude is treated as a field of light, line and restrained movement, where form is allowed to reveal itself without imposition.

The images favour structure over spectacle. Bodies appear as contours and intervals, shaped by tension, balance and the quiet weight of stillness. Light defines form while keeping detail essential; composition narrows the frame to what is most deliberate. This measured approach allows the body to be registered as both physical matter and expressive surface — held between vulnerability and control.

Rather than extending the language of editorial work, these photographs redirect it. Elements refined through years of assignments — economy of gesture, attention to detail, respect for the subject — move here into a slower and more reflective register. Seen together, the works form a clear and self-contained visual territory, where the nude is understood through precision, presence and the deliberate removal of excess.
