Made during a gathering of kite enthusiasts in El Cabanyal, Valencia, Cometas captures a moment in which an ordinary public scene takes on an unexpected visual logic.

The presence of twin sisters introduces an almost uncanny repetition, echoed by the forms suspended above them. For an instant, the everyday appears strangely displaced — a scene observed as it happened, yet carrying the suggestion of somewhere else.
