ACERCA DEL FOTÓGRAFO:
Penko Skumov es un fotógrafo y diseñador gráfico de Sofía, Bulgaria. Nacido en Burgas en 1978, se crió en Pomorie, en la costa del Mar Negro. Estudió historia del arte y estudios culturales en la Nueva Universidad Búlgara de Sofía. Es cofundador y miembro del grupo fotográfico Naos. Entre 2001 y 2009 han organizado y participado en numerosas exposiciones fotográficas. Sus fotografías se publican en revistas “Mirna”, “Cristianismo y Cultura”, “Svet”, en números de la editorial Omofor, etc. Desde 2015 trabaja especialmente en los géneros de fotografía callejera y documental.
Miembro de BULB Collective (Balkan Urban League without Borders) desde noviembre de 2018.
ACERCA DE BULB COLLECTIVE:
El Bulb Collective fue fundado en enero de 2015 por Michail Moscholios después de una jornada de puertas abiertas celebrada en Bucarest. Desde 2015 el colectivo ha ampliado su ámbito geográfico y a principios de 2020 contaba con más de 50 fotógrafos de 6 países de los Balcanes.
Los fotógrafos son activos en la fotografía urbana (y rural) con un cambio expresivo para incluir imágenes altamente estéticas y poéticas en sus asignaciones.
Comparten la misma visión pero no la misma perspectiva que les da la "polifonía" necesaria en su esfuerzo extremadamente ambicioso por crear imágenes icónicas y ser los mejores en metamorfosear e interpretar todos los aspectos de la vida en este mundo tan contradictorio y fascinante.
